WHEN QUALITY GIVES PRESTIGE
Committed to diversification, a new factory of canned and precooked dishes has been opened in 2008 in the Industrial Zone of Olloniego, in Oviedo. This factory manufactures using the brand “ISLA DEL CARMEN”. This name has been chosen as a compliment to the people of Luanco, who have a long time tradition on canned food and also as a tribute to Virgin of Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen.
Among the main aims of this factory is the production of home-made canned foods. For that we use fish and shellfish of first quality caught in our coastline and we bet for non traditional species in canned but with high potential. A presentation in glass jars has been chosen, specially directed to highly specialized markets and to gourmet and delicatessen stores in Spain and in the rest of Europe.
